While your suggestion is great, the practical aspect of it is a little bit more difficult, since I live in Germany and the fact that I gotta pay extra for currency changing doesn't help, either.
I am planning on getting the credit card thing figured out, though, once I'm finished with my apprenticeship and earn more money, given, of course, that it won't have more disadvantages for me than positive ones. :)
